If you're looking for luxury glamping in Aberdeenshire, Goukstone is the ideal base for a wide range of activities to compliement your stay. Whether you want to explore on bike or foot there are lots of walks on the coast, in the hills or woods and endless possibilities for cyclists.

Lovers of food and drink wont be disappointed either. With Glen Garioch Distillery located in Oldmeldrum and Brew Dog Brewery in nearby Ellon, there are plenty opportunities to sample the local produce.

If you like to fish, there are great beats on the River Ythan which flows past Goukstone and the rivers Dee and Don are only a short drive away. There are a number of well stocked local fisheries to visit and of course you could try your luck fishing off the nearby coast.

Goukstone is ideally located to explore many historic properties and gardens within a very short distance. We are located on the Castle Trail; Haddo House and Country Park is a great walk from Goukstone or an easy bike away.  Fyve Castle, Pitmedden Gardens or Tolquhon Castle are all about a 15 minute drive away.

If that all sounds too much, then perhaps you would rather sit back, relax and enjoy the wildlife and nature on your door step...but a stay here wouldn't be complete without a visit to the seal colony and nature reserve at Newburgh.
